What are autologous biologic therapies?

Autologous biologic therapies using protein-enhanced platelet-rich plasma (PRP) involve extracting and concentrating platelets from a patient’s blood to deliver high levels of regenerative substances. These platelets release a potent mix of growth factors, proteins, and cytokines that stimulate tissue repair, promote collagen production, and enhance the body’s natural healing processes. Clinically high concentrations of these regenerative substances lead to accelerated recovery, reduced inflammation, and better outcomes for conditions like tendon injuries and osteoarthritis.

Progenitor stem cell concentrate from bone marrow aspirate (BMAC) involves collecting stem cells, primarily mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), from the patient’s bone marrow. Autologous biologic therapies, can treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
